These fact sheets provide an overview of the types of flora, fauna, habitats and environments located within or near the Field of Mars Reserve, East Ryde. Many of the species listed can be found in other parts of NSW.

There are lots of different kinds of environments found in Australia. In the area around the Field of Mars Reserve you can find eucalypt forests, mangroves and salt marsh.
Habitats are the homes for animals. Living habitats include trees, shrubs and ground cover plants. A good quality habitat also contains many non-living components including leaf litter, rocks, logs and water.
