Ranger for a day excursion
HSIE - updated for 2024 syllabus
Role playing as park rangers, Stage 1 students will be introduced to the Field of Mars as a home and refuge to Sydney’s native animals. Students will go on an adventure to investigate the bushland and locate habitats, search for birdlife and other bush animals and learn how we can care for and connect to these places.
The student park rangers will design and create their own mini national park and build an insect hotel that can be taken back to your school.
This excursion has been designed to provide fun and engaging experiences for students that lead to improved care for animal habitats and bushland areas.
Recommended maximum 6 classes per day.
