Science and Technology - 2024 syllabus
Working as ecologists, Stage 2 students will explore the atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere of the Field of Mars Reserve.
Through a range of hands on activities students will conduct fieldwork in different habitats to investigate how plants and animals interact with each other, the soil, water, and air around them.
Fieldwork tools will include sensory observation, scientific instruments, invertebrate hunts and recording through sketching, mapping, watercolour, tallies and photographs.
Recommended maximum 6 classes per day.
This program is also available as an incursion if you have bushland near your school.
