Science and Technology - 2024 syllabus
Working as an ecologist Stage 2 students will explore the atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere of natural areas in or near your school.
Through a range of hands on activities students will conduct fieldwork in different habitats to investigate how plants and animals interact with each other, the soil, water and air around them.
Fieldwork tools will include sensory observation, scientific instruments, invertebrate hunts and recording through sketching, mapping, watercolour, tallies and photographs.
Recommended maximum 6 classes per day. Site dependant.
This program is also available as an excursion.
