Aboriginal connections social story - Buffalo Creek Reserve location

A bus will take you Buffalo Creek Reserve

You will walk through the playground at Buffalo Creek Reserve to the meeting area. You will not play on the play equipment.

In the meeting area the Field of Mars EEC teachers will talk with you about your day.

You will sit on the grass and have your first food break. 

You will go to the toilet and prepare for your day’s adventure.

During the day you will walk along boardwalks.

You will walk up and down stairs and across rocks.

You will walk on bush tracks that have roots, rocks and soil. When it has been raining the rocks can be slippery.

You will play games with things found in nature.

You might see some wildlife that lives in the bushland.

You will have snacks in the bush. There are no rubbish bins. Your rubbish will go in your bag.

You will explore the riverbank at Sugarloaf Point. You will stay out of the water on the dry shore.

When you return to Buffalo Creek Reserve you will have a lunch break. You will go to the toilet and wash your hands.

During the day you will play with boomerangs.

During the day you will draw symbols on the ground.

At the end of the day you will walk back to the bus.

The bus will take you back to school.
