Investigate the living world through stop motion animation.
This full day hands-on incursion for Stage 2 starts with students conducting an investigation by collecting invertebrates in their school grounds.
Based on their discoveries students will investigate the features of an invertebrate and the ways it uses and interacts with its environment. Students will work in pairs to collaboratively develop a factual script, descriptive storyboard and models to be used in developing a stop motion animation.
Using an iPad students will create a stop motion animation focusing on the needs, habitats and ecosystem interactions of their chosen animal.
All equipment is provided including iPads and model making resources.
Recommend maximum 3 classes per day.
This program is also available for Stage 1 (Animals animated) and Stage 3.
