The Explorer works with students making sure they are ready to explore the science of living things and how they survive in their environments.

He will help you navigate the language we use when studying adaptations.

He will help you learn how to identify features on your own body that are adaptations. 

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson

This famous duo are experts in adaptations and science communication and love to set challenges for people.

They will help you learn how to elegantly explain adaptations.

Amalina the Investigator

Amalina is a brave adventurer who loves finding and investigating living things. She will show you how she uses scientific thinking and methods to investigate what she suspects is an adaptation of a curious beast.

You are a student who is learning about the adaptations of living things.

In these lessons you will be:

• following the adventures of the characters in four videos
• checking your knowledge with a quiz on the language of living things
• identifying some of your own adaptations
• researching the adaptations of different living things 
• explaining an adaptation of a living thing to another person 
• examining the steps of working scientifically with a quiz.

You might even be going on a real-life excursion to the Field of Mars EEC to investigate adaptations for yourself.
