Bush studio K–6 Visual Arts
ES1/Stage 1/2/3 Teachers
This professional learning event provides primary educators an opportunity to develop skills and strategies for teaching visual arts activities with their students.
Participants will learn strategies to explore the unique urban bushland setting of the Field of Mars Reserve. Working in small groups with professional artists, they will experiment with a range of mediums to make engaging and interesting preliminary works across a variety of mediums, including drawing, textiles and printing.
This course has been created with the support of The Arts Unit.
This course will contribute 5h 30m towards NESA elective professional development addressing the following Professional Teaching Standards 1.2.2, 2.1.2, 6.2.2, 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. These hours contribute towards maintaining proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Maximum attendance: 30 teachers
Time: 8.30am - 3.30pm (5h 30m professional learning time)
DOE Cost: $199
Non DOE teacher: $299
Includes morning tea and lunch
