Invertebrate art excursion
Creative Arts and Science and Technology
Students will explore the bushland and the gardens at the Field of Mars Reserve looking for a variety of invertebrates. They will create artworks inspired by invertebrates in the environment.
Using a range of magnification equipment students will get up close and personal with an invertebrate to learn about their special features and roles in the environment.
After careful observation and study of an invertebrate, students will create an artwork on mounted canvas. This will involve the use of a variety of media including rollers, pencils, brushes and acrylic paint.
Maximum 4 classes per day.
This program can also operate as an incursion.
