Investigate the living world through stop motion animation.
This full day hands-on incursion for Stage 2 starts with students conducting an investigation by collecting invertebrates in their school grounds.
Based on their discoveries students will investigate the features of an invertebrate or another small animal of their choice. Students will work in groups of three to conduct research using a range of multimodal tools, develop a script and storyboard and create models to be used in developing a stop motion animation.
Using an iPad students will create a stop motion animation focusing on the features or habitats of their chosen animal.
All equipment is provided including iPads, tripods and model making resources.
Recommend maximum 3 classes per day.
