What animals live or visit your school at night?
Immersed into a nightscape, students will engage with stories, sounds, and a guided discovery of their school grounds to learn about nocturnal animals, their features, behaviours, and habitat needs.
Students will meet stick insects, bush cockroaches and centipedes, food for some of our nocturnal animals. They will create a mini nocturnal garden using natural materials to re-enact a night-time adventure and conclude by performing a nightscape chorus.
Grass tube stock will be presented to the class at the conclusion of the session.
Program length approximately 1.5 hours.
1 class per session.
Maximum 3 program sessions per day.
