What better way to learn about the needs of birds than to build a giant nest!
The Field of Mars Reserve is the perfect place for students to conduct a hands-on investigation of the characteristics, needs and behaviours of birds through nature play and other activities.
Students will go on a bush walk through the forests and gullies exploring Sydney's incredible birdlife and their habitats. They will build nests both large and small, use clay to create bird models and collect wooly worms to feed their chicks.
Recommended maximum 4 classes per day.
