Where do invertebrates live?
What are the features of invertebrates?
During this Stage 1 incursion students will explore the amazing diversity of invertebrates that can be found in the trees or leaf litter in their school grounds. They will use a range of equipment to find, capture and study these important animals.
Back in the classroom, students will examine their invertebrates using magnifiers as well as an iPad connected to a projection device. Students can record their findings along with other details such as species name, colour, size, habitat and food.
