Primary Creative Arts excursions and incursions | K–6 | Field of Mars EEC

Students create artworks inspired by place—using photography, digital design, nature materials and reflective art-making. Programs explicitly connect Visual Arts processes with authentic outdoor stimulus and publishing outcomes. All programs support the new NSW Creative Arts K–6 Syllabus (2024).

Why choose Creative Arts at Field of Mars EEC?

What will students do?

  • Observe and collect visual stimulus from nature (photos, sketches, textures, patterns) to develop ideas
  • Create artworks or digital products using a range of materials and techniques (including photography where relevant)
  • Build Creative Arts vocabulary (Tier 2/3) for elements, techniques, composition and artistic intent

Nature’s gift incursion

Stage 1 | Creative Arts

Students generate ideas from natural patterns and textures, then experiment with materials and digital tools to create resolved artworks. They describe choices using visual arts language, connecting elements and techniques to the stimulus collected at school.
