Stage 3 incursions | Years 5–6 | Field of Mars EEC

Stage 3 (S3) incursions bring environmental and sustainability learning into Year 5 and Year 6 classrooms and school grounds.

Led by qualified NSW Department of Education teachers, students investigate local environments, digital media, creative responses, geographical change and science concepts through hands-on and technology-rich activities.

Programs support Creative Arts, English, HSIE and Science and Technology, with a focus on inquiry, critical thinking, communication, fieldwork-style investigations and explaining environmental ideas.

Factors that shape places incursion

Stage 3 | HSIE Geography

An HSIE incursion where Stage 3 students investigate natural and human processes that shape places, using maps, images and inquiry tasks to explore change and sustainable management.

This program will retire at the end of 2026.
