Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre provides curriculum-aligned K–6 excursions and incursions for Early Stage 1 to Stage 3 in natural, urban and school settings. Programs support the NSW Science and Technology K–6 Syllabus (2024), Human Society and its Environment K–6 Syllabus (2024), English K–10 Syllabus (2022), Personal Development, Health and Physical Education K–6 (2024) and Creative Arts K–6 Syllabus (2024).
Primary Science and Technology excursions and incursions
Teacher-led K–6 investigations where students observe living things, collect and interpret data, and explain patterns in habitats, ecosystems, life cycles and adaptations.
Primary HSIE excursions and incursions
K–6 Geography and History inquiry through real places—fieldwork, mapping and evidence to explore features of places, water environments, change over time and caring for places.
Primary English excursions and incursions
K–6 English learning inspired by nature—vocabulary, speaking and listening, poetry and multimodal composition including digital storytelling and documentary.
Primary PDHPE excursions
K–6 outdoor learning that builds wellbeing, cooperation, resilience and leadership through safe, structured movement and challenge activities.
Primary Creative Arts excursions and incursions
K–6 Creative Arts experiences where students make and respond to artworks using observation, photography, digital design and nature-based materials.
