Secondary excursions and incursions | 7-12 | Field of Mars EEC
Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre delivers curriculum-aligned secondary excursions and incursions for Years 7–12 (Stages 4–6) in Sydney bushland, waterways and urban environments. Led by qualified NSW Department of Education teachers, programs build fieldwork capability through primary data collection, measurement and analysis across Geography, Science and Mathematics, including senior fieldwork and investigation support.
Geography excursions
Fieldwork programs for Stages 4–6 that investigate landscapes, environmental change and human–environment interactions using practical tools and geographical inquiry methods.
Mathematics excursions
Hands-on measurement and statistics in real environments. Students collect and interpret data to strengthen numeracy, mapping and spatial reasoning in authentic contexts.
Science excursions and incursions
Fieldwork and classroom-linked programs for Stages 4–6 that develop Working Scientifically skills through investigations into ecosystems, biodiversity, adaptations, human impacts and environmental management.
