Primary school incursions | K–6 | Field of Mars EEC
Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre delivers curriculum-aligned primary school incursions (K–6) across Early Stage 1 to Stage 3 in Sydney, bringing outdoor learning, sustainability and creative/digital projects to your classroom and school grounds. Every incursion is led by qualified NSW Department of Education teachers and supports key outcomes in Science and Technology, HSIE Geography, English and Creative Arts.
Early Stage 1 incursions
Early Stage 1 - Kindergarten (ES1) incursions introduce students to play-based, sensory learning that introduces local living things and places through simple observing, sorting, storytelling and caring for environments (including Aboriginal perspectives).
Stage 1 incursions
Stage 1 - Year 1 and 2 (S1) incursions provide hands-on investigations of living things, habitats and sustainability that build early inquiry skills plus clear vocabulary, speaking and simple evidence-based explanations.
Stage 2 incursions
Stage 2 - Year 3 and 4 (S2) incursions help students collect and use data to explore ecosystems and human–environment connections, then communicate learning through digital storytelling, artworks or short written texts.
Stage 3 incursions
Stage 3 - Year 5 and 6 (S3) incursions provide deeper inquiry and critical thinking through sustainability and environmental change projects, combining investigation with high-quality multimodal products.
