Primary school incursions | K-6
Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre offers primary school incursions in Sydney for all years from Early Stage 1 to Stage 3. Our curriculum-aligned programs support the NSW science, geography, English, HSIE and creative arts syllabuses, bringing hands-on environmental learning, sustainability and digital creativity directly to your school.
Early stage 1 incursions
Play-based Early Stage 1 (ES1) incursions for Kindergarten students that introduce living things, local places and nature through sensory experiences, storytelling and creative activities at school. Programs support early science and geography outcomes and help students build confidence and curiosity before visiting bushland environments.
Stage 1 incursions
Stage 1 - Year 1 and 2 school incursions that explore living things, habitats, sustainability, design and digital creativity through hands-on activities in the classroom and playground. Programs support NSW science, geography, HSIE and english outcomes by building observation skills, vocabulary and an understanding of how we care for places and animals.
Stage 2 incursions
Stage 2 - Year 3 and 4 environmental incursions focusing on ecosystems, Aboriginal cultures and histories, waste, sustainability and digital storytelling. Students investigate how people use and protect environments, collect data, create persuasive or creative texts and develop critical thinking skills aligned to NSW science, geography, HSIE, creative arts and English syllabuses.
Stage 3 incursions
Stage 3 - Year 5 and 6 incursions that extend students’ understanding of sustainability, environmental change and adaptations through inquiry-based projects, persuasive campaigns and digital media. Programs support NSW science, geography, HSIE, creative arts and English outcomes.
