Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre delivers curriculum-aligned K–6 excursions for Early Stage 1 to Stage 3 students.
Led by qualified NSW Department of Education teachers, excursions use bushland, waterways, urban places and local environments to build fieldwork, inquiry and environmental understanding.
Programs support the Science and Technology K–6 and HSIE K–6 syllabuses, with authentic links to English, Creative Arts and PDHPE.

Early Stage 1 excursions
Early Stage 1 - Kindergarten (ES1) excursions use play-based and sensory learning to introduce local environments, living things, habitats and caring for places.
Stage 1 excursions
Stage 1 - Years 1 and 2 (S1) excursions introduce fieldwork through observing natural, managed and built features, recording simple data and sharing evidence-based explanations.
Stage 2 excursions
Stage 2 - Years 3 and 4 (S2) excursions deepen inquiry through practical investigations, comparing environments, exploring sustainability and creating simple multimodal products.
Stage 3 excursions
Stage 3 - Years 5 and 6 (S3) excursions strengthen fieldwork and critical thinking through real-world data collection, human impacts, environmental change and management strategies.
HPGE programs
Stage 2 and Stage 3 HPGE enrichment days extend high potential learners through challenging science, creative arts, digital technologies and fieldwork tasks.
