A part of an animal has been found in Field of Mars Reserve. What is it? Where did it come from?
Mystery at Mars is a Stage 3 excursion that has a strong focus on problem solving, critical and creative thinking and collaborative learning. It is well suited to GAT students.
Working in teams, students follow a clue seeking trail through the bush collecting evidence physically and recording it digitally with the help of an iPad to solve this mystery. Clues are supported through the use of multimodal text.
Students analyse the evidence and use research skills to present their case. The session concludes with creative group presentations of their findings.
Maximum 4 classes per day. Both Field of Mars Reserve and Buffalo Creek Reserve must be available on the same day to accommodate 4 classes.
